Auxano Consultancy has been an dream of mine for a few years. I have been very blessed and fortunate to know and work with some truly amazing people. Some of these amazing people have been kind enough to write a few words about me.

"I have known Stu for two years now and know him to be an outstanding practitioner of leadership and personal development for some of the most challenging young people in London.  The fruit of his work can be seen in the transformation of those that he works with.  He is a deeply passionate and committed man who is an inspiration to all who know him"

"Stu Thomson has extensive experience of working effectively with hard-to-reach young people. He has a rare understanding of the complex dynamics of gang-affected neighbourhoods and the risks posed to the young people and families who live there. More than most other professionals in this demanding field, he also understands the policies and administrative and professional multi-agency practices that can make gang-affected neighbourhoods safer and fast-forward young people out of gang involvement. If I was charged with safeguarding the young people in such dangerous situations, I would want Stu Thomson at my side."

Professor John Pitts MA PhD Dip Ed DipYW FRSA, Director of the Vauxhall Centre for the Study of Crime

"Stu delivers proactive, motivational and creative support to his colleagues and the people he assists. He has led me through some challenges with strong focus and was able to remain committed, encouraging and positive throughout.  I have see him work equally well with a diverse group of people, faith, cultures, ethnicity and generations, allowing each person to come as they are and be included.  He has developed a strong community around him and his colleagues that is nurturing and healthy for all, and is self sustaining following his example.

Stu is great at problem solving and identifying and adopting clear routes to achieve targets and move forward.  He has developed and strengthened the capacity of the charity he runs, through the challenges of voluntary funding issues and lack of statutory assistance. He has creatively found ways to fund-raise and add value and has looked to collaborate with others rather than compete in order to secure assistance.

He is a great teacher and mentor and many people young and older look to him for guidance and leadership.

Stu is very sincere and humble and those attributes allow him to fit within a group and his natural leadership gives him the opportunity to guide and assist through consultation.

I have learnt an incredible amount from him personally and have watched many others flourish under his guidance."

"I have known Stu Thomson for five years in my role as Strategic Lead for Lambeth Councils Young & Safe Programme and as Interim Head of Service for Youth Offending.  We have worked together on a number of projects to bring services to hard to reach young people at a local youth centre Stu manages and I can vouch for his enthusiasm, skills and experience. Stu is a passionate supporter of young people and is particularly good at building partnerships across statutory and voluntary services to leverage in resources to improve outcomes"

Claire Belgard Interim Head of Service Lambeth YOS

"Mission Direct have been delighted to work with Stu Thomson in running mission trips. Stu is a charismatic and an inspirational leader. Stu is a "can do" character rolls up his sleeves to get things done. He quickly grasps key issues in new situations and is a good man to have on your team. He is a delight to work with."

Tim Martindale Director of Overseas Operations, Mission Direct

"I have had the pleasure of working with Stu for over five years. As a facilitator of outdoor education working for London Youth, I have joined with Stu to provide exciting opportunities for young people from London. Stu and I have taken groups down rivers, up mountains and rocks and even underground! We have provided courses in the Peak District, Wales and Scotland and each time Stu has been reliable, motivating and totally in control of an often demanding situation. He only has the best interest of the young people he works with in mind and works extremely hard to ensure they receive the best possible services. Stu is an ambassador for good youth work and has positively affected the lives of hundreds of young people."

Tim Davis Development Manager Hindleap Warren Outdoor Activity Centre

"Stu is a highly effective and personable leader. Whether he is engaging with youngsters from troubled backgrounds, organising an event or generating new and innovative ideas for business and community projects he is above all else pragmatic. Stu delivers truly visionary real-world solutions from inception to completion through determination and hard graft; and he does it all with a smile on his face."

Simon Clarke Retired Captain British Army

"Stu has an outstanding track record working with young people and youth workers -in-training, working in the challenging context of South London. He is a talented and dedicated youth worker and manager, and has a wealth of experience to share with others in the sector. Whether you're established or just starting out, you won't go wrong listening to Stu's hard earned wisdom."

Stu has been working with my son for 2 years. When he started secondary school he found the transition difficult and his behaviour suffered, he was constantly in trouble and either at detention or in the behaviour unit. I was getting phone calls from the school on a regular basis which really made my family suffer as I was constantly on edge and upset.

After an initial meeting with stu at my home to discuss strategies and ways to help and what the sessions would involve they started. Stu has helped my family so much and I really dont know what the situation would be like without him, he has been someone for my son to confide in and someone not in the family that he knows he can talk to in confidence without being judged while they have so much fun at the same time.

Skip forward 2 years and my son is hardly ever in trouble at school he has had the odd lapse in behaviour but I know I can text Stu and it will be adressed in the next session, he also is in regular contact with the school and sometimes gets in contact with them if my son has a problem at school and wishes him to help him with it I have given him my full permission to do what he thinks is right to help a situation. I very rarely get any phone calls from the school and I havent had a meeting with them for over a year, he has no longer been in the behaviour unit and seems so much happier in himself and  really looks forward to the sessions.

I really dread to think about what would have happened if stu hadn't been in our lives.
